where are the trees?

As a young child I used to love travelling!anyway I still do....Sitting on the back seat of my dad's old Mazda 626,I would stare at the trees and all the beautiful creatures,I would marvel at how these tress stretch on forever and stand together just like a family,as if their peace would never be disturbed,so content...so secure in their owm world, acting as a protective sheild from the 'hot' 'hot' sun as we travel the long distance,I loved the gentle breeze, blowing on my sweet, innocent face, back then it felt Like heaven.

As I grew older,I noticed the tress disappear one by one,no more protective shield, all I have left were empty spaces ,and the sun shinning dowm ,burning my skin and making the journey I used to enjoy unbearable, then I learnt about how useful these tress were, how the ozone layer was depleting and how human activities are causing more harm than good, then my mind goes back to the good old days when we could rely on those tress as a sheild from the harsh rays of the sun.

Let's imagine those trees as a family, being displaced, the entire living creature in our forest,
Having no choice but to leave their habitat, how would I feel if I wake up one day and my home is gone? These are not just trees,God created them for the benefit of man as a shield.

This brings me to the movie"AVARTAR",where human beings bring their "bullbozer "and destroy the home of other living beings and leaving them with no choice but to fight back, when nature fights back ,can we measure up?

Nigeria, can we bring our trees back?can we join hands and stop cutting down our trees all in the name of urbanisation, when we cut down one tree, can we be responsible enough to plant at least two or more.

Please spread the word! Let's make the world greener
